Surprise! We’re having a baby!
This video is how I told my husband that we’re having a baby. I told him that the movie was about buying our first house (which we closed on the same week we found out the good news – woo). This video is to Toy Story’s “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.” Haha, get it? You’ve got a friend IN ME? Oh, PS, I’m not video or graphic design savvy – let the cartoons slide, hmm? Thanks for the feedback so far!! As of 8.23.09, our baby girl is now a year old, and we’re expecting #2 in February! No creative way to tell John this time.. I ran out of the bathroom screaming. 
Update again: Remmy turns 2 on August 16, 2010, and Sophie joined us this past February. Check out www.nicegirlnotes.com at your leisure.

Having a Healthy Pregnancy
If you’ve decided to have a baby, the most important thing you can do is to take good care of yourself so that you and your baby will be healthy. Girls who get the proper care and make the right choices have a very good chance of having healthy babies. See a doctor as soon as possible after you find out you’re pregnant to begin getting prenatal care (medical care during pregnancy). The sooner you start to get medical care, the better your chances that you and your baby will be healthy. If you can’t afford to go to a doctor or clinic for prenatal care, social service organizations can help you. Ask your parent, school counselor, or another trusted adult to help you locate resources in your community. During your first visit, the doctor will ask you lots of questions, including the date of your last period. This helps the doctor estimate how long you have been pregnant and your due date.
