I opted not to have this done. Even the slightest chance of miscarriage is too much. And finding out about genetic defects will not make me want my son any less.

At what week is the amniocentesis done? After the amniocentesis is done and sent to the lab, how long is it until the results are given to the woman. Then, if malformations or something wrong is detected , how soon and at what ‘week” does the woman go through the abortion if she decides she wants it because of the results of the amniocentesis?

Great video. I watched this having had 6 ltrs removed (polyhydramaninos) with my last twin pregnancy, a twin to twin transfusion syndrome pregnancy. I went to your site looking for TTTS, and was excited to find it on the front page.

It is really an easier way to explain a complex theme. I remember my doctor tried to make me understand a dozen times what was the procedure he was about to do with me whithout any success. If I had watched to this video before going to hospital, certainly my anxiety would have been infinetely smaller! Thank you doc!
